Schwartz Center for Children has a long and solid relationship of providing services to those in need in our community.  We remain the only free-standing community-controlled pediatric outpatient facility in the area.

Day School Teacher
Schwartz Center for Children has openings for teachers within its Day School Program. The Day School is a MA DESE licensed year round school for children and adolescents with severe/profound disabilities. Experience required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field and must be MA teacher certified.


Day School Teachers Aides and Assistants
Seeking full and part time DC-I Teachers Aides and DC- II Teachers Assistants for Day School Program. The Day School is a MA DESE licensed year round school for children and adolescents with severe/profound disabilities. Experience preferred. 


Special Education Administrator
Schwartz Center for Children is currently seeking a full time administrator to work in our Day School Program.   The Day School is a MA DESE licensed year round school for children and adolescents with severe/profound disabilities. 
Candidate must be
• Certified as a Special Education Administrator in MA
• Minimum of three years experience as teacher of severe special needs
• Must be restraint certified and have the ability to supervise and participate in restraints
• Demonstrated successful experience as an administrator.
Only qualified applicants will be considered.


Speech Language Pathologists and Assistants 
Schwartz Center for Children is seeking full or part time Speech Language Pathologists and Assistants to work in the Center’s various programs . Duties include providing center and/or home based services to children.

Qualifications
Candidates must have or be qualified for Massachusetts Licensure (Registered Therapist or Therapist Assistant).

DIRECTOR OF HEALTH and SAFETY   

Under general direction of the Executive Director, responsible for establishing and monitoring the Center’s Health and Safety policies and practices ensuring an environment of the highest level of safety and compliance with all required regulations.   

Essential Duties including but not limited to:

  • Oversee health and safety training of all staff
  • Develop and monitor compliance with Center health and safety plan, manual, policies and procedures.Create the center’s emergency preparedness and disaster plan
  • Oversee Nursing function within the center including understanding of requirement of private duty nurses 

Perform other similar and related duties as required or directed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS and Experience:

·         Registered nurse with over five years experience required.

  •   Experience in policy development and implementation.
