The Schwartz Center has a long and solid relationship of providing services to those in need in our community.  The Schwartz Center remains the only free-standing community-controlled pediatric outpatient facility.

Below is a list of Schwartz Center employment opportunities.

 




DAY SCHOOL PROGRAM

Day School Teacher - The Schwartz Center for Children has an opening for a teacher within its Day School Program.  The Day School is a MA DOE licensed year round school for children and adolscents with severe/profound disabilities.  Experience required.

Degree - Teacher must have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field and must be MA teacher certified or in the process of being certified.

Classroom Substitute - The Schwartz Center for Children currently has an opening for a Substitute Classroom Aide in the Center's Day School Program.  The program operates Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 2:00 p.m.  Experience not mandatory, but preferred.

Adaptive Physical Education (APE) - The Schwartz Center for Children currently has an opening for an APE teacher in the Day School Program. The postition is for 20 hours per week. Additional information to follow.

DEVELOPMENT

Director of Development - The Schwartz Center for Children, Southeastern Massachusetts' only free-standing, independent provider of multidisciplinary therapies and educational programs to children with developmental disabilities, with over a 60 year history, is looking for a new Director of Development & Marketing. Located in our brand new state-of-the-art facility, we are positioned to develop dynamic new programs as we preserve and strengthen our existing services.

The Director of Development and Marketing's responsibilities include preparing an annual development plan and associated operating budget; working closely with the Executive Director, the board of directors and the development committee; actively developing prospects and acting as a representative of the organization and serving as a public speaker; and maintaining awareness of state and local government activities that affect the non profit community. The Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development program including the solicitation of major and capital gifts, and the promotion and implementation of the planned giving program.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent experience; CFRE a plus, with experience as a non profit development officer.

EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

Speech Therapist - The Schwartz Center for Children is seeking a full-time Speech Therapist to work in the Center's Early Intervention Program.  Duties include providing center and group based, as well as home therapy to children ages birth through three who have a developmental delay, and/or an established diagnosis.

Qualifications -

Licensure:  Candidates must have or be qualified for Massachusetts Licensure(Registered Therapist).  CFY accepted.


REHAB PROGRAM

Speech Therapist - The Schwartz Center for Children is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist to work in the Center's Outpatient Rehablitation Program.  Duties include providing center and group based, as well as home therapy to children ages birth through three who have a developmental delay, and/or an established diagnosis.

Qualifications -

Licensure:  Candidates must have or be qualified for Massachusetts Licensure(Registered Therapist).  CFY accepted.

Physical Therapists Assistant -
The Schwartz Center for Children currently has an opening for a Physical Therapists Assistant in the Outpatient Rehabiliation Program.  Experience with pediatrics preferred.  

Physical Therapist - The Schwartz Center for Children is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to work in the Center's Outpatient Rehabilitation Program.  Duties include providing center therapy to children ages three through twenty-two who have an established diagnosis. 

Qualifications -

Licensure: Candidates must have or be qualified for Massachusetts Licensure (Registered Therapist).
