Regional Consultation Program
Consultation and training for the families and child care providers of children with special needs
The Regional Consultation Program (RCP) provides high quality training and technical assistance to other Early Intervention programs and to child care programs throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
We work together with providers, as well as families, to meet the developmental needs of children with multiple disabilities and complex health care needs.
The RCP also offers services to support community inclusion, especially inclusion in child care and preschool for children 3-5 years old. RCP services are provided regionally in conjunction with Early Intervention programs with Department of Public Health and Early Education and Care (EEC).
RCP offers a variety of high quality support services, workshops, and training for professionals in early-childhood and special needs education. RCP provides child-specific consultations for children with complex medical needs, and assistance with transition and inclusion. RCP supports parents and providers to facilitate the child's qualitative comprehensive care.
Schwartz Center for Children’s RCP also provides the following
- Resources and referrals
- Technical assistance
- Lending library
- Parent support groups
- Equipment loans
RCP Statewide Vision Statement: All children are born with possibilities and should have access to inclusive settings to learn, play and interact. Inclusion is an attitude that nurtures everyone.
