The Regional Consultation Program (RCP) is a regional program covering the Southeastern territory of Massachusetts. It is one of six programs funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) in the state. The program's mission is to promote the inclusion of Children with multiple disabilities, or extensive medical health issues with complex care requirements.
The Regional Consultation Program provides child specific consultation and training for families, Early Intervention professionals and child care providers, and the general community throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
The Regional Consultation Program provides the following services:
- Direct Assistance to eligible families - Education and training to families and community - Equipment loan program - Lending library - Resource and referrals for families of children with special needs - Technical assistance and consultation - Sibling support group - "All About Us" - Regional parent network - Threshold Electrical Stimulation assessments - Infant massage and infant massage instruction - Specialty clinics - Respite services - Parent involvement activities - Child specific consultations including feeding, sensory issues, and augmentative communication
The Regional Consultation Program is a grant-funded project of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Division of Perinatal, Early Childhood and Special Health Needs.
